The Madrid side of The Way of Saint James (El Camino de Santiago) route passes through Becerril de la Sierra from neighboring municipality of Mataelpino. The way is marked with milestones and yellow arrows.

The route runs parallel to M-617 road until you find a track, which is part of GR-10 (European long-distance path E-7 Puçol, Valencia-Lisbon-Portugal). It is marked in red and white and goes towards the residential area of Vista Real.

Recently, this route has been modified to improve the safety of the pilgrims. Currently, the track passes through the urbanization and crosses the M-607 road to run parallel through the north-side of Alto del Hilo up to La Salve.

At this point, the tracks goes to the Navacerrada municipality, heading towards the direction of Cercedilla, Segovia and Valladolid to link to the French Road in Sahagun, near Leon.

The total longitude of The Way of Saint James that runs through our municipality is 4,3 kilometers.
